Eligibility Criteria for (MBBS)

Only those candidates who would satisfy or are likely to satisfy the following relevant eligibility requirements for admission to MBBS course will be considered eligible to appear for the UGET (BLDEUGET-2008) and subsequently for admission to the course.

Age: The candidate should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2008.


1. Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination which is 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination.

2. The last two years of study should have comprised of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject.

3. The candidate must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB.

4. In addition, the candidate must have scored not less than 50% marks in BLDEUGET-2008.

5. In respect of candidates belonging to SC, ST and Karnataka OBC, the marks obtained in PCB taken together in qualifying examination should not be less than 40% and also score not less than 40% in the BLDEUGET - 2008.

Note:
  • Change of category status like SC, ST, Karnataka OBC, will not be entertained during the testing process. As such students are cautioned to declare their status while filling the application.
  • If the candidate is unable to satisfy the requirements for status of SC, ST or Karnataka OBC he/she will be considered under general category.
